The drain spade has a 4130 aircraft alloy blade with a deeper "V" in the neck and back for increased strength and more flat in the front for easier trench clean out and digging. The closed back design prevents mud from packing and the in-line blade angle is optimum for digging straight down (post holes, transplanting, and repairs).
